"Father, make of me a crisis man. Bring those I contact to decision. Let me not be a milepost on a single road; make me a fork, that men must turn one way or another on facing Christ in me." —Jim Elliot

Why The Second Act?

This idiom represents something a person devotes his or her life to later in life. Several months before turning 40 on August 16, 2021, the Lord began to make it very clear that I had finally arrived at the intersection, the beginning of the next chartered path He had for me. The one that would require giving up the life and empire that I had worked so hard to build over the past 7 years, for something greater, Someone greater, Him.

So here I am.

After my biblical worldview was wrecked upside right in the fall of 2010 then having my life forever changed in the slums of Miryalaguda India in 2016, I'm walking away. Away from comfort, from what's familiar, to say yes to Jesus, wherever in the world He leads, come what may. It means that the proclamation of the Gospel and the mobilization of worshippers where He has not been named, particularly in the Silk Road region to reach those far from Him has become the preeminent priority of the rest of my days earth-side.

I am currently praying toward and seeking out an NPO to work for that is already established in the work of reaching the Muslim community in the 10/40 window. This is what He's calling me to; vocational global mission work and I consider it the highest privilege of my life to serve my God in this capacity.

Will you join me in prayer for the road ahead? I appreciate it more than I can begin to quantify with mere words. I really do.

To bring this update to a close, I'd like to share these words I wrote in my Bible Feb. 8th, 2021. I pray that it encourages you.

"The cost of sanctification will be a deep restriction of all our earthly concerns and an extensive cultivation of all our godly concerns. To be intensely focused on God's point of view. To secure and keep all the strength of our body, soul, and spirit for God's purpose alone.

It means being made one with Jesus so that the nature that controlled Him, controls me. The resounding evidence of the Holy Spirit in my life, in our lives, is the unmistakeable family likeness to Jesus Christ and the freedom from everything which is not like Him."

Gal. 2:20, Matt. 9:35-10:39, Matt. 16:25, Matt. 28:18-20, Lk. 14:25-33, Acts 1:8, 2 Cor. 4:7-18, Rev. 12:11.

Here’s to living at the tip of sphere, in the center of His will with audacious faith to bring Him glory with every ounce of my being.

Until all are reached,
